What QC Means in the Hipobuy Workflow
Quality Control (QC) in the Hipobuy ecosystem refers to the set of photos and sometimes videos your supplier sends you after receiving the item from the factory but before packing it for international shipping. This is your only opportunity to verify the product matches your expectations. Once you approve the QC, the supplier ships. If you reject the QC, they exchange the item for another unit or issue a refund depending on stock availability and their policy. QC is not a guarantee of perfection — it is a snapshot verification that you are getting the correct item in acceptable condition.
The Universal QC Checklist
Confirm the overall color matches the listing photos under neutral lighting.
Check all visible logos, text, and graphics for alignment, spelling, and proportion.
Inspect stitching along seams, hems, and attachment points for evenness and thread color match.
Verify hardware quality: zippers should slide smoothly, buttons should be secure, and aglets should be intact.
For shoes, check sole alignment, toe box shape, and heel counter symmetry.
For garments, compare measurements from the flat-lay photos against the size chart.
Look for stains, snags, loose threads, or factory residue that should have been cleaned.
What Good QC Photos Look Like
A thorough QC album includes at minimum: a full front view, a full back view, a close-up of any branding or graphics, a detail shot of the material texture, and a measurement photo with a ruler or tape measure visible. For shoes, add top-down, lateral side, and sole views. For bags and accessories, include interior shots and hardware close-ups. If your supplier sends fewer than five photos for a single item, politely request additional angles. Most reputable suppliers accommodate this without complaint.
When to Approve vs. When to Reject
Approve
Minor imperfections that are invisible when worn: a slightly loose thread inside a seam, a non-critical measurement 0.5cm off, or packaging wear.
Request Exchange
Visible flaws: misaligned graphics, incorrect color shade, hardware defects, or measurements more than 2cm off the chart.
Request Refund
Fundamental mismatch: wrong item sent, size completely wrong, or damage that affects function and cannot be exchanged due to stock issues.
Ask for More Photos
Unclear areas: blurry shots, shadows hiding details, or missing angles you need to evaluate. Never guess when you can verify.
